Rumor: Slave Leia Bikini Merch Being Retired from Star Wars IP

It appears Disney is phasing out Star Wars' Slave Leia bikini merchandise and marketing.

The costume, which Princess Leia actress Carrie Fisher wore in Star Wars: Episode VIII - Return of the Jedi, has been a mainstay in merchandise and cosplay for many years.

Making Star Wars ran a story about how a reader tipped the site off to a Facebook conversation with Star Wars comic book artist J. Scott Campbell about Disney "wiping out" the Slave Leia outfit.
