Playing The Evil Within through a letterboxed gameplay window is no longer necessary.
A new update to the survival horror game has introduced an new Full-Screen mode that does away with the thick black bars on the top and bottom of the screen, instead giving players the option to fill all of the empty screen space with a view of the game world.
The update has also rebalanced casual difficulty to allow players more ammo and a more forgiving health bar.
This patch is currently available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.
