Developer Cliff Bleszinski has taken to Twitter to drop a boatload of unknown Gears of War facts.
According to Bleszinski, the inspiration for a lot of the first Gears of War came from the “failure” of his first marriage and a visit to London. Interestingly, the song that got him through his first marriage breakup was none other than Mad World. In a similar vein, the special edition photo of Dom and Maria in Gears of War 2 was drawn by Bleszinski’s then girlfriend.
The former Epic Games design director goes on to talk about some of the symbolism seen in the Gears of War Franchise.
