In order to have Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's PC release date match that of the console releases, many workers at Konami were forced to give up their personal vacation time.
Responding to angry fans, senior producer Kenichiro Imaizumi tweeted: "PC launch day earlier than original plan. Our programmers didn't take summer vacation to make it happen.. kinda sad".
Imaizumi went on to clarify that the team was willing to put in the extra work to get the PC release looking better, but that "their families are not happy".
