NASA has successfully performed its deepest ever dive through Enceladus Plume.
NASA's Cassini spacecraft completed its flyby of Saturn's moon Enceladus yesterday at approximately 8:22 am (PDT). The pass saw Cassini flying 30 miles above the moon's south polar region.
Mission controllers initiated a two-way communication with Cassini yesterday afternoon. The team expected data to begin transmission last night, so expect images within the next 24-48 hours.
