The original Spider-Man trilogy director Sam Raimi admits that he "messed up" with Spider-Man 3, but says he would "love" to be given another chance - perhaps with Marvel's upcoming reboot of the character.
In an interview with The Week, Raimi says, "I messed up on the third one."
He added, "I think they're so complete now, Marvel. They probably don't need me anymore. But if they needed me? I'd love to. It's great to be wanted."
Raimi also remarked on Spider-Man's roller-coaster history in film, admitting that he's "not really on top of" Spider-Man's various incarnations.
