Capcom has released its financial results for the first half of its fiscal year, and while net sales are up 22 percent, the company's operating income is down 35 percent compared to last year.
The publisher has seen strong performance in repeat sales and digital downloads for games like Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and Resident Evil Revelations 2. Its pachinko and arcade-centric amusements business helped bolster sales as well, thanks to the release of its Resident Evil 6 pachislo machine.
Meanwhile, Capcom cites "higher costs and some sales shortfalls" in its amusements business, and "slower sales of existing titles" in its PC and mobile divisions for the company's dip in profits.
